Dawn Sadowski, MD
Dawn Sadowski graduated Cum Laude from the University of Chicago with a
degree in the Biological Sciences. She then studied medicine at the University
of Illinois at Chicago where she received her Medical Degree in 1993. She
subsequently completed her Residency Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology
downtown at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. During her residency,
she earned an excellent reputation as a House Officer and ultimately served her
appointment as Administrative Chief Resident from 1996-1997.
Dr. Sadowski joined Northwest Women’s Consultants in July of 1997 where
she continues to demonstrate her high professional standards. She has been
involved in several hospital committees. She is also the Physician Director of
Ultrasound for our practice and participates in many continuing medical
education meetings to help us remain current with the newest ultrasound technologies.
Dr. Sadowski became the President and CEO of Northwest Women’s Consultants
in 2017 and has since limited her practice to Gynecology. She enjoys focusing her
attention on the complete health care and well-being of each individual patient
that she sees. She has also been very involved in advancing our minimally invasive
surgery program and is a Certified DaVinci Surgeon.
Dr. Sadowski also has a great deal of experience in helping women with their transition
to Menopause. Our practice offers Hormone Pellet Placement as one means
to ease Menopausal Symptoms. Both Drs. Sadowski and Hegge are trained in the insertion
of small hormone pellets under the skin, typically in the hip area. These pellets slowly release
bioidentical hormones into the bloodstream over a period of several months, providing a steady
and consistent level of hormones.
Dr. Sadowski is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and
is a Fellow of the American College of Ob/Gyn.
She married her best friend, S. Joe Kukla. Her twin sons, Cameron and Carter,
are currently pursuing medical careers, and her daughter, Kennedy, is considering a
degree in Psychology.
