Alex B. Lipowich, MD

Dr. Lipowich is Board Certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was born, raised, and educated in the Chicago area. Dr Lipowich attended Northwest University, Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical School, and Loyola Medical Center for his residency.

Dr. Lipowich sought out extra training in minimally invasive surgery during Medical School and Residency and continues to offer these services to help with quick recoveries from surgery.

He has practiced in the west suburbs for 28 years serving as Chairman of his OB/GYN department and as a member of the Peer Review Committee since 2001.

Dr. Lipowich is particularly proud of his ability to avoid Cesarean Section. He is comfortable offering Trials of Labor after one or two Cesarean Sections. External versions for Breech presentations and will work very hard with his patients to avoid an unnecessary cesarean section.

In the past few years, he has become especially interested in screening patients for Genetic Family Cancers, managing menstrual disorders, incontinence, and menopausal issues.

When not taking care of patients, Dr. Lipowich lives in Arlington Heights spending time with his wife, children and a pair of adventurous cats. He enjoys the outdoors, tinkering around the house and can fix just about anything.
